Securitize tokenized stocks launch Apple, Nvidia, Tesla on Solana, eyes NYSE

Securitize has rolled out tokenized shares of Apple, Nvidia, Tesla and ten other U.S. companies on the Solana blockchain, announcing that the tokens will trade on its own PropAMM platform with Jump Trading as the liquidity provider. The company also said it is preparing to list the same securities on the NYSE’s digital trading platform and on OKXICE, pending regulatory clearance.

The announcement came from a press release shared with CoinDesk on October 8, 2026. Securitize’s CEO, David G. Smith, said the move is a step toward “democratizing access to institutional-grade equities” by leveraging Solana’s low-cost, high-throughput infrastructure. The tokens are issued under a U.S. SEC-registered framework that claims to meet all securities-law requirements.

Solana tokenization and the mechanics of the launch

Securitize tokenized stocks are ERC-20-style tokens that represent fractional ownership of the underlying shares. Each token carries the same voting rights and dividend entitlements as the physical stock, according to the company’s whitepaper. The tokens are minted on Solana’s SPL standard and are backed by a custodial vault that holds the actual shares in a regulated brokerage account.

Jump Trading’s role is to provide automated market-making liquidity on the PropAMM platform. The firm will set bid-ask spreads and ensure that orders are filled at market-conformant prices. RQD, a clearinghouse partner, will handle settlement and custody of the underlying shares, aiming to reduce counterparty risk.

NYSE digital trading and regulatory hurdles

Securitize said it is in talks with the NYSE to list the tokenized stocks on the exchange’s digital trading platform, a move that would give institutional investors a familiar interface for buying and selling tokenized equities. The NYSE has expressed interest in the project, but the listing is contingent on a final regulatory review by the SEC and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.

The company also plans to list the tokens on OKXICE, a crypto-asset exchange that has recently expanded its regulatory footprint. OKXICE’s listing would broaden access to retail traders, but the exchange must demonstrate that it can enforce the same compliance standards that apply to traditional securities.

Incentives and risks for investors

For investors, the primary incentive is liquidity. The PropAMM platform promises near-instant settlement and lower transaction fees than traditional brokerage routes. The tokens also allow for fractional ownership, which could lower the entry barrier for smaller investors.

However, the arrangement introduces new risks. The tokens are still subject to market volatility, but they also carry the risk of smart-contract failure, custodial breaches, and regulatory changes that could freeze or delist the assets. The company’s reliance on third-party liquidity providers and custodians adds layers of counterparty exposure.

What to watch next

The next milestone is the NYSE listing, which will signal whether the SEC approves the digital trading model. If the NYSE approves, the tokens could become tradable on a regulated exchange, potentially attracting institutional capital. The company will also need to secure OKXICE approval, which could open the market to a broader retail base.

Securitize’s announcement also raises questions about how tokenized stocks will be taxed and how dividends will be distributed. The company claims that dividends will be paid in the same currency as the underlying stock, but the tax treatment of tokenized dividends remains unclear.
